I loved the visual of the Japanese tea cup with the American coffee mug. In actuality the coffee mug was made in Japan and the tea cup was made in China. The Asian looking black plate is however Frankoma, which is made in the US.
I found this set of plates and bowls at the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter's thrift store. I bought these pieces because of their color but little did I realize how vibrant the reflected light would be underneath the bowl.
There are times when I really have to "stick to the list" when I go to the supermarket. If not, I would probably have about 17 red cabbages in the fridge at any given time.
This painting is of a small pitcher that's been hanging around the studio for a few years. It's been a hit on the classroom circuit, Museum, High School, Studio. I even used it in a demo painting. Now it's hit the big time. A headliner. Top billing. "My big chance!"
This is a painting of the Central Presbyterian Church located on the square in Chambersburg, PA. I pass by it on my way to work each morning. If all of the planets are in alignment I can sit at the light and sneak a photograph while actually looking through the view finder. If not, look out.
This is the gold foil wrapper off of my favorite childhood candy, Ice Cubes. I'm surprised that it's as good as I remember. I found them at Wegmans in the Bulk Candy section and bought two pounds.
This was painted in my classroom at the High School. This fox skull is a prop that has apparently been in the Art Room longer than it was in the fox. Sad.
