Looking Down the East River, II

2017, Oil on Linen, 10"x 20"
City

Available through Principle Gallery

This is a view of the East River of New York City, as seen from the lower tip of Roosevelt Island. It was a sparkling, but cold February day, not that I noticed. For about 20 years I lived in New York, but until this trip I had never set foot on this island. To quote General MacArthur, "I shall return!"

Broken Bunny

2018, Oil on Canvas, 9"x 12'

This is a painting that started out as a demonstration piece for a class. It got way out of control, as they often do. I had been meaning to do something with my smashed up friend. Since my painting time is almost always slated for urban landscapes, this seemed the perfect opportunity.
