Hi Jim, This bank was given to me by a neighbor when I was a kid. The way I understand it is that way back when, banks would give these to kids so they could save their change. When the bank was full you had to bring it into the local branch because they had the only key. Their hope was that you would use this small fortune to open a passbook account.
