Looking Down the East River, II

2017, Oil on Linen, 10"x 20"
City

Available through Principle Gallery

This is a view of the East River of New York City, as seen from the lower tip of Roosevelt Island. It was a sparkling, but cold February day, not that I noticed. For about 20 years I lived in New York, but until this trip I had never set foot on this island. To quote General MacArthur, "I shall return!"

Looking Down the East River

2017, Oil on Linen, 10"x 20"

This painting is of a view of the East River in NYC, as seen from the southern most tip of Roosevelt Island. I lived in New York for over twenty years but until I ventured there this past winter to take photographs I had never stepped foot there. I'm glad that I did. This painting will be part of an exhibit which opens later this month at the Chambersburg Council for the Arts, in downtown Chambersburg, PA. More info, including the date and time of the opening reception coming soon.

Newark at Dusk

2015, Oil on Canvas, 10"x 20"
Scenes From a Train

This is one of those scenes that epitomizes just how contrary the landscape can be along the railways.
