This is a painting of the courtyard at St. Mark's Church in NYC. More specifically, it is a painting of a very old locust tree hat happens to be in the courtyard at St. Mark's Church. I love New York and I love trees, so any time that I can combine the two is a red letter day.

First painting of the New Year! I know, but I've been sick. This is a painting of Mont Alto Cemetery which is about three miles from my studio. Every now and then, on my way to and from the Post Office or the bank or Frank's Pizza, I stop here to take pictures. The pizza gets cold but it's worth it.

Very good news, indeed! I am honored to be included.

The exhibit opens on August 17 and runs through November 3, 2013. The opening reception will be on Sunday, September 8, 2013, 2:30 - 4:00.

On a slightly more personal note, an exhibit of works created by my museum students will open that same day. Please come by and show support for my fearless students and also for all of the artists fortunate enough to be included in the Cumberland Valley juried show.

This is a painting that I started in 2006 while teaching a class. Sometimes these pesky students demand so much of my attention that I have a rather difficult time finishing my own work. Quite thoughtless of them. I'm only kidding, I usually just ignore them. Luckily for me I got enough down to be able to finish in the studio.

This is a painting of the cemetery near our house. They really make great neighbors. This painting will be part of my upcoming exhibit at Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg, PA.
