Along the East River, in Manhattan there is a point just below the Williamsburg Bridge where you can see the Manhattan Bridge, Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty all at once. It is humbling, and it serves to remind us that this city and its history is bigger than any one person.

When ever we stay in New York we try to stay in a certain hotel. We also try to stay in certain rooms because of their view. On this particular trip I spent an inordinate amount of time photographing the skyline from the hotel window. No, I didn't see a show.

This series again! Yes. This series. Again. Scenes From a Train. This is a painting of a train yard near Philadelphia. It was dusk when we came out of the tunnel in New Jersey. The sky was beautiful so I took about 150 photographs before the sun went away.
